Our child care centre was selected as one of the 20 centres in Ottawa to receive the new Canada Wide Early Learning and Chid Child Care (CWELCC) expansion grant. This means we will be able to offer $10/day daycare by 2025.

This program is an initiative of the federal and provincial governments in collaboration with municipalities, and with participation of not-for-profit child care providers like the Manor Park Community Council (MPCC) as well as for-profit agencies.

Reduced fees

Thanks to this program, we will be able to drastically reduce our current fees over the next few years. The reduction will continue until we reach $10/day childcare.

The province is currently aiming for this to take fruition by September 2025.

CWELCC aims to provide families with quality and affordable child care to children aged 5 years and younger. The provincial government licenses and regulates all CWELCC child care. Fee subsidies are available.

With this grant, the MPCC can offer lower fees to families for its child care, along with our Before and Afterschool in Manor Park program. Meanwhile, we can still maintain our excellent track record for providing high quality child care. Our new child care centre recently opened at 1805 Gaspé Ave.
