Did you have damage to your lawn from this winter’s snow removal?

An alternative to repairing the lawn is to replace the portion near the road with fresh arborist wood chips. This type of mulch is free from arborists or the City of Ottawa and can even be planted into, creating a streetside garden that is less likely to suffer damage from snow equipment.

Current by-laws allow gardening along the street as long as it doesn’t interfere with or endanger anyone. This vague by-law is currently being updated for clarity, so stay tuned!
