From music and movies to art and childcare, the upcoming weeks are set to be a treat for everyone. Here’s a listing of Manor Park Community Council fall 2023 events.

Grand Opening of 1805 Gaspé

The doors at 1805 Gaspé Ave. will officially open from 5 to 7 p.m. September 19, and you are invited.

Formerly known as Encounters with Canada/Terry Fox Centre, 1805 Gaspé is now the home of Manor Park Community Council (recreation, child care and events); Ottawa Street Markets and the Farm Store; Bacannalle foods; and Polaris School and Centre.

The opening event begins with the unveiling of the three-storey mural created by Ottawa muralist Emilie Darlington and local youth artists. Then everyone is invited inside for tours of the space, food and drink, activities and workshops. Meet instructors who will bring you arts, fitness and sports programming.

Manor Park Child Care Centre opening, 1805 Gaspé Ave., September 2023

The long-awaited Manor Park Child Care Centre is set to open its doors in September, providing full-time licensed child care for toddlers and preschoolers! Staffed by experienced early childhood educators who believe that children learn best when they are provided with nature-focused and child-led experiences.

That’s why our new centre boasts big, beautiful windows that provide natural light and ample green space that encourages children to explore and connect with nature.

Our outdoor play area will include natural elements such as trees, logs, rocks and sand, that encourages children to use their imagination and creativity while developing their gross motor skills.
