Opening the doors to the community in a new way
MPCC Chair Mark Smith provides an overview of events at the community hub at 1805 Gaspé

The Manor Park Community Council (MPCC) is buzzing with excitement as we gear up for a spring filled with events and opportunities for our community to come together. From newly renovated event spaces to cultural gatherings at our community hub, 1805 Gaspé Ave., there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Upcoming Events
The Ottawa Garden Club (OGC) will be hosting the New Horizons Art Show in the Studio space at 1805 Gaspé. The show, which is open to the public, features paintings, photography, jewelry, and sculpture created by twelve OGC artists. There will be a vernissage on Friday May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m., and the show will be open Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Mark your calendars, the Manor Park Garage Sale returns on Saturday June 1. This is a great opportunity to declutter and find some treasures! The sale continues to be held at 100 Thornwood Rd. (the field house) this year. Rent your table now to be part of the fun—it allows you to set up and sell on site at the community center with other residents
All revenue generated from table rentals through MPCC will be invested back into the community through programs and special events. Food, treats, and coffee will be available for purchase on the morning of the garage sale. Visit ManorPark.ca for more info.
Do your tears ricochet because you couldn’t get tickets for the Eras tour? Shake it off at the MPCC’s Taylor Swift Dance Party on June 15. Get ready for an afternoon of dancing and fun with fellow Swifties as we play music from all Tay-Tay’s eras.
Doors Open Ottawa 2024 at 1805 Gaspé
We are thrilled to announce that MPCC has been approved to add 1805 Gaspé to the list of buildings for Doors Open Ottawa 2024. The proposed date for this event is Sunday, June 2. If you haven’t had a chance to explore the community hub and daycare centre, then this is your chance! Stay tuned for more details.
Race Weekend
Ottawa Marathon Hydration Station—We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help at the Manor Park hydration station on Sunday May 26, as the 50th anniversary of the Ottawa marathon winds through our community.
Always an exciting and inspirational event, please join us in supporting and cheering on the runners!
