Happy spring, Manor Park!

We have had another great winter. The Skating and Chili Cook-off Party beckoned only the bravest souls in the cold winter night of February 4, the outdoor rinks were back, and Jr. NBA programs have been a slam dunk!

Thank you to everyone who picked up a shovel in support of the Outdoor Rink season. It’s no secret that 2023 weather was challenging. Despite the warm temperatures, we had great ice conditions and hockey players, pleasure skaters and those taking lesson had so much fun.

Jr. NBA Basketball is quickly becoming one of our most popular programs, and a staff favourite as well. Program plans and coach training provided by Canada Basketball complement a fun players package (jersey + ball) that every participant gets to take home. The winter session ends soon but Jr. NBA will be back next fall!

Manor Park is incredibly fortunate to have such amazing, outdoor recreational facilities on hand. This spring we will take advantage of the sports fields and baseball diamonds with MultiSport, soccer and baseball programs for children ages 4 to 12. Watch the sports fields around the Manor Park Community Centre for excellent staff leading fun-filled programs grounded in physical literacy.

Sport programs, fitness and yoga, community events, Easter basket deliveries–we have a fun spring lined up. See you soon!
